Events The MacKay Foundation for Cancer Research is excited to announce that we will be holding five events this year to benefit blood and marrow, leukemia and hematology research and education at WFUSM, Section on Hematology and Oncology. It is our sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of our family, friends and coworkers who have been touched by cancer. The proceeds from each event will ensure that important cancer research will continue and new research projects will have the seed funding to move forward. "Bach, Beethoven & Brubeck" An Evening of Music, with special guests, Taya Ricker, violinist (UNCG Class of 2012) and Dr. John Salmon, pianist (Professor of Music, UNCG). Starlight, Star Bright 2010 - We invite corporations and friends from across the Triad and surrounding communities to sponsor, make a charitable gift, or to purchase a "star" in honor of or in memory of a loved one, or a friend, touched by cancer. Our "stars" will be displayed throughout the month of May on the 3rd floor of the Outpatient Cancer Clinic of Wake Forest University. This will be a wonderful way to raise money for research while bringing awareness to our community of the need for continued cancer research and education.
